zoom is available to adopt in vancouver!
Zoom came to Fur Bae Rescue as a local owner surrender. During Zoom’s initial two week behaviour assessment we noticed a small tumour on his head. Thankfully this turned out to be benign, and has since been been removed.
Zoom really likes people, not over the top when first meeting them, but friendly. Dogs on the other hand? Obsessed! We would love to place him in a home with another dog, or even multiple dogs! He likes to play, be outside and get dirty!
He likes human attention and affection, but is still very independent. He has a chill, calm demeanour, especially in new places, but after spending some significant time with a trainer in recent weeks, we’ve found that he has a tendency to feel unsafe in certain situations, so he will definitely need a couple weeks to warm up to a lot of touching/rubs/cuddling.
Zoom barks from time to time, but is easily redirected.
He does not like to be groomed or touched around the muzzle. Once he finds someone he can trust, this may come easier with time, but in the meantime grooming will likely have to be “as needed”.
