After contacting Fur Bae looking to adopt a dog, we had scheduled a FaceTime meet that week and out of the blue, I received a text from one of their amazing team members before our meeting saying there was an available dog in Vancouver looking for a home! Banks (then Hendrix) would be going back to his foster home as his 10 day trial didn’t work out. Apparently Banks was showing some aggression towards the family and their cat and required lots of physical activity. After hearing of these things, my gut instinct was still, YES! They sent over the details and we picked Banks up a couple of days later from his foster. The 10 day trial flew by and we fell in love immediately! I feel like I was more aware of the aggression initially described to us, but truthfully have never actually noticed this in the 4 months of owning Banks. We go for lots of long walks, runs and visits to the beach and dog parks. Banks is the most affectionate, loyal and intelligent dog and I am so happy to have him in our lives. Watching him overcome his fears and building a relationship with him is something I could have never imagined to be so rewarding for us all. We are so grateful for the Fur Bae team for connecting us with him and may even be looking for another Fur Bae — sometime soon… :-)
