Lola came to our family in November 2020. I had been looking for a dog about Lola's size for some time and an internet search turned up FurBae. A few forms and a phone call and all was arranged. Lola was a bit of a handful when she arrived. She had not been socialised very well. She loved people because everyone she met at the shelter was kind to her. Everything else was new and she went on overload. I am self employed and worked from home and Lola went into boot camp with her dad.

After a month of training and non-stop love, it's hard to believe we have the same dog. Lola has become very well mannered. She walks perfectly on her leash, no longer yanking daddy's arms out of the sockets. She really enjoys her hikes with dad and she walks beautifully. It took some time to get her to relax but now she has learned all about belly rubs and cuddles. She even sleeps late.

Lola is extremely intelligent. She likes to decide where we walk. If I let her away with it, she'll test me even more. It's a daily mental battle but a fun one. She also has classic Saluki traits like extreme loyalty to only one person, which happens to be me!

Lola is a gift from heaven but this gift would not be possible without FurBae and all the work Leanne and all the volunteers do. A lot of very wonderful people went to a lot of effort to get Lola to her furever home. Since we are both madly in love, Lola has her furever home.
